The Coast Fitness Experience

In order to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone using our facility we ask you to be aware of and abide by the following requirements.

  • Towels must be used when exercising in this facility for hygiene reasons and to absorb perspiration. You have the option to hire towels at the front counter if you choose, or bring your own.

  • Hygiene stations are located on each level of the building and we ask that you use the spray bottles and paper towel provided to remove excess sweat from equipment after use.

  • Clothing and footwear need to be fresh and clean (work boots and grubby, smelly clothes are not acceptable).  Shirts/singlets/shorts and covered footwear are required at all times when training.

  • Out of consideration for other members wanting to use machines we ask you not to have conversations or text on mobile phones while occupying equipment. We also request that personal earphones are used with electronic devices to maintain the amenity of the facility.

  •  “Holding” multiple machines during workouts is not permitted. We encourage clients to adopt a “work in” approach to training.

  • Our advice is to not try and “sweat out” a cold or flu as exercise may worsen the condition.  In most cases it will be more beneficial for your recovery to have a few days of rest.

  • Please return all equipment you use to its correct storage location after use.  If you load it up, please load it down!

  • Weights are not to be dropped at any time as this will damage floors, and when using pin weight machines please lower the weights in a controlled manner.

  • Group Fitness sessions are reviewed on a regular basis. Management reserves the right to adjust the schedule depending on numbers attending and trainer availability. Members will be notified in advance of planned changes to the class schedule.

We offer small class sizes of between 10 - 15 participants ensuring you’re not lost in the crowd. Members can book online to secure a spot. No shows and cancellations made with less than 8 hours notice will incur a $10 fee. Further class bookings cannot be made until the fee is paid. You may still attend classes if a space is available but pre booked clients will take precedence.

  • Personal Training is available using the services of fully accredited and insured Trainers contracted by Coast Fitness. Non contracted Trainers are not permitted to engage in commercial activities at this facility.

Members may engage the services of registered  Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists and should advise management when that is likely to occur.

  • Coast Fitness at Trinity is a Fitness Centre providing exercise facilities and services for adults. Our Age Policy allows for children to attend and use the facility under the following conditions.

-      Children from the age of 16 - may attend unaccompanied with parental consent.

-      Children between the ages of 14 and 16 – A parent or guardian is required to complete a Notice of Assumption of Risk Waiver and Release before attending

-      Children under 14 may attend in special circumstances (medical referrals generally) but always with a responsible adult in attendance.

  • Swearing and offensive language is unacceptable in this facility.

  • Our children’s area is available for children who are happy and able to be on their own unsupervised.  Children must stay confined to this area for safety reasons. We kindly ask parents to tidy up the area after use.

  • We have a daily cleaning and maintenance schedule in place and we encourage you to advise reception if you notice something in the facility that requires attending to.

  • As we are located in a residential area we ask patrons to consider the neighbors when driving to and from the centre and to take advantage of the off street parking provided.

Please avoid parking in front of the Meals on Wheels building on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings to allow volunteer drivers to access the kitchen.

Be aware that Cayley Street is a 50 km per hour zone so please drive accordingly.

  • We recommend that you seek medical advice if you are concerned about participating in an exercise session.

We aim to provide a functional, comfortable and welcoming training facility for all our members and guests and are happy to discuss any suggestions you may have to improve the quality of your Coast Fitness experience.
